First Music Video Shot With a Mobile Phone!

October 30, 2005 · Posted in movie, music · 1 Comment

Australian production company, Film Headquarters has made an innovative music video for the Presidents of the United States of America, for their Australian single “Some Postman”. This is the first music video in the world to be shot using mobile phones.
“Some Postman” is currently on Australia’s Channel V (as “Clip of the Week” last week), ABC, Rage, Video Hits, VH1 and national and regional radio networks as the band prepare to launch their album “Love Everybody” in Australia in October, backed up by an Australian tour.
The music video was filmed in Seattle in just one day using a plethora of Sony Ericsson mobile video phones. The content was then blue–toothed to a Mac and composed like a jigsaw puzzle to form the basis of the edit.

How interesting, if you wanna check the video ut you can see it by cliking here

Angels and Boobies updates..

October 28, 2005 · Posted in music, random · 1 Comment

So you wanna know when the official Angels and Airwaves site will be up? Maybe a few track names from the upcomming album? Well stop reading this blurb and read below..

“This has been a crazy few weeks….we have started our last song, and we had this little rule about 9 months ago, which said every new song we did had to be better than the last….well, there was no way I thought that really was possible…but it has happened. This last song has given me the chills every time I hear it. Ryan just finished some bass tracks, in-between episodes of Ali-G, and me and David have been taking long walks on the beach at sunset with our shirts off. There is also quite a little treat coming to you on my birthday….I promise that you will love it. We have spent quite a lot of time planning how to make a new era of rock and roll, and this film and album I think are going to help with that. Imagine a record with 6-7 minute long songs, full of anthemic, melody and long intro’s, but it sounds totally different….like the next step you would expect. A couple song titles…..The Adventure……Valkyrie Missile….It Hurts…..I am building the web site right now, it will have clips of the film, song excerpts, photos, merchandise, video stills and clips as well. It will be here with in 30 days or so. “who do we think we are………..we are Angels and Airwaves”"

Also, Tom’s been painting, on a cast of his wife’s breasts.

another angle can be seen here.
He finished painting the cast too late so it wouldn’t be auctioned off with the others for ‘Keep A Breast’. Instead it will be auctioned off on ebay at a later date. Check out all the other people who have painted for this charity too, just here

Dont know whats happened to my /images folder, its gone ,thats why all the previous pictures are no longer showing up, never mind eh

A while ago I read an article on sharing movies with others from your car. Get a projector, an FM transmitter, some friends, meet up near a big plain wall and project the movie from your car to the wall, and the sound via the FM device to your friends stereo’s in their cars. Good idea right?
Yeah, of course it is, highly illegal mind you but still a good idea.
Only real downside is that if you had more than say 4 friends in cars either side of yours they would probably miss out on the sound of the movie because FM transmitters are not really all that powerful, because its supposed to be a personal thing I guess. Don’t want people down the road who are quietly enjoying a nice bit of Wogan suddenly jumping out their seats when they hear a track from Slayer interrupting them now do we? well, would raise a few laughs I’m sure, but anyway..
You can read that article here by the way

BUT NOW: Thanks to one persons thinking you can power up that old iTrip you had your parents bring you over from a visit to the states (Cheers ma and pa!) and make the signal travel allot further, say, 60-70 feet further, much better, now you can get more friends to join you in your Guerilla Drive-in.

Now all I need to do is finish learning to drive, get a car, save allot of money up buy a projector and maybe a Mac-Mini (much better than having an outdated DVD player in your car, Pffft come on!) hook it all up and away we go..

Someother sites to check out on this subject are
Mitsubishi Pocket Projector, runs off battery’s you know..
Apple’s Mac Mini You know you want one.
Mobile Movie go along to one.. If you live in Hollywood..

All my music =

I just added ALL my music I have on my PC into my iTunes library on there.. I thought ‘Humm, this may take a while’, as I have been collecting stuff for a fair few years now, even after a few complete re-installs I have a lot of albums.. But it didn’t take as long as i thought it would, only about 10 mins.. Was downloading the new Quake game at the same time, so I guess some of the processor was being taken up with that, all being on the same HD as well.
I don’t really use my PC anymore, since i got my lovely iBook <3 .. But i still use SoulSeek on it to grab music albums, as i cant seem to get it to work right on the Mac, takes ages and I don’t get as many results..
Now i normally just add my most recent downloads to the iTunes app, so i can stream them over the network to my Mac and listen to them that way, to check um out and make sure i like them before hoofing them over the network and onto the iBook and my iPod.. So this was as I say, a test for it.

But in short, iTunes now says my PC has 19.1 days worth of music on it and a total of 7573 tracks.
So that on top of what I have on the iBook which is 1312 tracks and 3.4 days worth of listening = 8885 tracks and 22.5 days worth of continuous playing.

I don’t think I could listen to all that in one sitting, or even a few sittings. I guess I don’t need all that, there is stuff on there which I haven’t listened to for a long time and stuff I probably never will listen to but I keep if just in-case.. You never know, you might need a sample here and there for a track you create or something.

It will still grow; as I don’t use the PC for anything in particular I’m going to sort it out just to be one big music/movie server in the end. Already got it hooked up to the TV, just got to get round to doing the rest to it now :)

BOO! This fall’s sweetest – and scariest – benefit song is DO THEY KNOW IT’S HALLOWE’EN. This single features a star-studded ensemble (Beck, Sum 41, The Arcade Fire) known as the NORTH AMERICAN HALLOWEEN PREVENTION INITIATIVE. Both a trick and a treat, this song is a satire – as well as a charity-benefit song with all proceeds being donated to UNICEF.
The song itself is an epic journey into the pulsating heart of fear. It is a rallying cry to stamp out this most scary of holidays. The North American Halloween Prevention Initiative features a who’s-who of current alternative music such as:
Beck, The Arcade Fire, Sonic Youth, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sloan and lots lots more.

RELEASE DATE: OCT. 11 2005 (In Stores)
FORMAT: CD SINGLE and VINYL 12″

You can hear the song here, which also lits all the artists, and theer is lots more information about it on the site as well :)
