"Endlessly, She Said"

December 30, 2005 · Posted in music · Comment

Jade from AFI has made a post on their Official Message Board!
It links to a clip of a guitar solo cut from the new album.

So here’s a little something, this guitar part was originally supposed to go at the end of one of our new songs but I took it out. It’s very short but I figured some guitar afficionados might like it, otherwise it will never be heard by anyone. Plus it’s a good way to experiment with posting audio files.
By the way, this is ONE guitar part from ONE song, so let’s not have any pointless speculation that the whole album will sound like this.
This was originally from a song called, “Endlessly, She Said”, that will definitely be on the new album. The song is pretty aggressive and epic but the end is kind of slow and sad, which is where this guitar originally was.

Grrrrrrr…
There was two links to the file, but they are both dead.. Ima try to find it again and ill post it up when i do…

TRACK’S:

01. Mothersound
02. The Latest Plague
03. …And We All Have a Hell
04. Afterbirth
05. World War Me
06. Shame Shame
07. The Crows Are Coming For Us
08. The Levy
09. Goodbye Waves
10. Waltz Moore
11. Heroine

ALITTLEPIECEOFINFO:

First impressions can often be misleading. Like the sound of a word with two opposing meanings, From First To Last has created HEROINE, an album of contrasts that initially may shock and amaze but will ultimately elevate and inspire.

Recording in isolation in the shadow of Mt. Shasta with producer Ross Robinson, From First to Last embarked on an almost mystical mission to create a sound so honest, so urgent, so undeniably pure of intention that there could never be any doubt that it was their own.

The result, mixed by Andy Wallace, is HEROINE, a mind-numbing, spine-cracking, jaggedly beautiful foray into hitherto unexplored musical territory.

Underworld Evolution OST

December 19, 2005 · Posted in movie, music · Comment

Was just checking the Bulletin’s over on MySpace, and there was a new one from Senses Fail:

We will be featured in the soundtrack for the movie Underworld: Evolution (the sequel to Underworld). The Legion of Doom was kind enough to remix Bite to Break Skin and it sounds awesome. The movie and soundtrack will be out in January.

Check out the article they pointed me at over here. It also lists of a few other bands which will feature on it..

I thought it was kool because they have got The Legion of Doom to do a remix for them.. Turns out that now checking on TLOD’s site they have also remixed a ‘Hawthorne Heights’ track for the OST as well..

Full Track Listing:
01 – Puscifer – “The Undertaker” (Renholder Mix)
02 – Chester Bennington (of Linkin Park) vs. Julien-K – “Morning After”
03 – Hawthorne Heights – “Where Do I Stab Myself In The Ears” (The Legion Of Doom Remix)
04 – My Chemical Romance – “To The End” (RnR Cheryl Mix)
05 – Slipknot – “Vermillion Pt. 2″ (Bloodstone Mix)
06 – Alkaline Trio – “Burn” (Alleged Remix)
07 – Aiden – “The Last Sunrise” (Dusk Mix)
08 – Senses Fail – “Bite To Break Skin” (The Legion Of Doom Remix)
09 – Atreyu – “Her Portrait In Black”
10 – Trivium – “Washing Away Me In The Tides”
11 – Mendozza – “Eternal Battle”
12 – Lacuna Coil – “Our Truth”
13 – Gosling – “Cat People (Putting Out Fire)”
14 – Bobby Gold – “Why Are You Up”
15 – Meat Beat Manifesto – “Suicide”
16 – Cradle Of Filth – “HW2″

The track titled ‘I know what you buried last summer’, which was a mash up of a Senses Fail track, and Taking Back Sunday, a remix by TLOD, had to be taken down from their site for legal reasons, turned out TBS were not happy with their songs being cut up and remixed, whereas Senses Fail didnt have any beef. Good on them!
You can still get the track if you look for it on P2P programs, but there illegal so don’t do that..

Whoa, what a day today is.. I’ve been waiting for it for along time, mainly just because Angels and Airwaves were supposed to release their first track today on their website, but that was delayed. But still, what a day today has turned out to be!

First up, Happy Birthday Tom :)

Secondly, Check out the new Angels and Airwaves site, its been updated from the picture we have been seeing for months, and it now has a nice lil flash intro and another background, still no more info yet though. Damn the record label for not letting them release the track today!!

Third up, we have the Macbeth podcast starting today, which will keep us up to date with all the new Angels and Airwaves news until the release of the album next year. You can check it out over here
Forth and probably the most exciting news of the day for me is that Plus 44 (+44, however you like) have released a song, bit of a fight back cos Tom wasn’t allowed, hehe.. But you can check that out on their site, or just download the track and play it a million times like i have from here, right click save as…

The lyrics for the song titled ‘No It Isn’t’ seem to be directed towards a certain person.. You can check them out over on the more up to date Angels and Airwaves fansite which is here

What a day!! I love it all..
