Trampy. That’s how I looked. So it was time for the beard to be released back into the wild, and smaller, slicker version adopted and trained.

Filmed on a Canon 450D, hooked upto a Macbook, 219 frames, in about 15 minutes.

Beard. Gone.

I spotted this girl behind me while i was sat down, so i just leaned right back over so i was laying on my back, and snapped this pic of her while i was upside down. Came out quite well considering, filter was kinda facing the wrong way though.

Full Gigapan

I love the Gigapan. People make such amazing pictures with it, but they’re usualy of huge panoramas, or regular things. I’ve never seen one of something so small before! You can check out more of Molly Gibson’s magnified Gigapans here.

This ant is from Madagascar, and is named Eutetramorium mocquerysi. The species is notable for having wingless queens that are indistinguishable from workers.
This image is composed of 400 pictures, and it’s magnified 400x using a scanning electron microscope.

So earlier on today Alan and I had an idea to start up a new blog, just for fun. It’s called I’d Buy It, and its all about supermarkets and websites trying to make people think they are getting a bargain by putting big coloured stickers on things or deceiving prices that people cant be bothered to work out.

Quite a while ago now, on my Facebook profile i changed my ‘Full Former Name’ to ‘Mcvities Mc Marmite’ for a laugh. Anyone that searched for Marmite would see me, but it never shows up where abouts in my profile it was mentioned. So tonight, while watching 2 pints of lager, i remembered about it and had a look. I tried to change my middle name to it instead, but it was rejected, they also didnt like it when i just tried Marmite, but they did accept Mcvities.
So, i now present my new Facebook name!

So… Next time you’re camping, instead of digging a hole or using one of those suspect comfort castle port-a-johns to dispense with No. 2, why not infuse a little portability into nature’s call with the Shit Box? It’s completely cardboard, fully biodegradable, and utterly ridiculous.
