Scrabble: The Beautiful Word

April 28, 2009 · Posted in comic, design, game, video · Comment

Scrabble has just reached it 60th birthday, with 100 millions of boxes sold throughout 121 countries in 29 languages, it is the most sold letter game ever. Despite this success, Scrabble is mostly seen today as an elitist and outdated game.

Scrabble is starting a new advertising campaign to dispel the notion that Scrabble is an elitist game. Here is the principle of the game: “Different words accidentally encounter during a Scrabble game, giving by chance birth to a world as unexpected as enchanting. Picture a board of Scrabble at the end of a game: words that have nothing to do with each other are crossing and overlapping, to the point that they sometimes tell a crazy story ! Our creative idea is to turn this fabulous potential into images.”

The day after Resident Evil 5 came out, myself and Andy thought it would be fun to try and complete the whole game in one sitting.
We started at around 3pm and eventually gave up after completing the last chaper of level 4 at around 4:30am on Sunday morning, 20 cans of beer and 2 pizza’s later.
After a few hours sleep to refresh the mind and eyes we started up again at 10am and compleated it by 3pm.

Good times :)

I really like the advertising for Little Big Planet

September 10, 2008 · Posted in game, photo · Comment

Little Big Planet is a game coming out soon for the PS3, and its the only game that would make me think about getting one, my XBox does everything i need it to do for now, when its not freezing, and getting the RROD..
The advertising has been really good for this game recently, latest being the following video, a documentary style look into the everyday life of Sackboy.

Earlier on in the week there were small billboards showing up in the states

Nice one Sony
